Lin Hsin-yi

Lin Hsin-yi is a Taiwanese woman human rights defender and social activist. Lin joined the Judicial Reform Foundation in 1999 and was one of the founding members of Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty (TAEDP), currently serving as as its Executive Director. She is also an Executive Committee Member of Covenants Watch and a Board Member of the Human Rights Network for Tibet and Taiwan. Lin is one of the founding members of the Anti Death Penalty Asia Network and a member of the Steering Committee of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty (WCADP).

Under Lin’s leadership, the TAEDP staff and experts have conducted several crucial projects including a prison interview project, the deliberative sessions on alternatives to the death penalty, the general opinion survey on the attitude towards the death penalty, and the survey on legislators’ opinion on the death penalty.
