Chhoeun Daravy
Chhoeun Daravy is a woman human rights defender and a member of Khmer Thavarak. As one of the first members of the organisation, she has been on the forefront in advocating for several pressing human rights issues in the region, especially those concerning the environment. She regularly 'Livestreamed' events & protests her team and other defenders were conducting, reaching huge audiences.
Les DDH font face à des menaces, des agressions physiques, des arrestations, l'acharnement judiciaire, des détentions arbitraires et des assassinats lorsqu'ils accomplissent pacifiquement leur travail. Les actes d'intimidation ou la lourde surveillance ont poussé plusieurs DDH à quitter le pays par peur pour leur propre sécurité. Les autorités continuent d'entraver les manifestations pacifiques.
