Narges Mohammadi subjected to a physical attack in Evin prison alongside other prisoners

The Free Narges Coalition is alarmed by reports that Narges Mohammadi was subjected to a physical attack in Evin prison alongside other prisoners in connection with their peaceful protest. We are investigating reports that Mohammadi suffered acute chest pain and a respiratory attack as a result.

We remain deeply concerned by her deteriorating health in prison and call again for her urgent release without delay. We stand in solidarity with Mohammadi’s family, and call for them to be allowed to speak with her and given full information about her situation immediately.
