Yolette Andrée Jeanty is the director of the association "Kay Fanm" in Haiti, which fights for social justice and the promotion of women's rights. Kay Fanm supports women and young women through a number of different programs, including through their shelter program that allows women or girls who have survived sexual violence and sexual assault to stay in one safe place. They accompany, advise and shelter the victims.
HRDs in Haiti defending victims of rape have been subject to violence and extortion as a consequence of their work.
