Peng Jiayong is the director of Panyu Labourer Mutual Aid Group, a workers' rights organisation in Guangdong province. He became engaged in workers' rights in 2012 after losing his job over his involvement with trade union activities. Following this he worked with a number of labour organisations before founding Panyu Labourer Mutual Aid Group in May 2015.
