Maribel Nuñez

Maribel Nuñez is a feminist, journalist, an Afro anti-colonial activist and a human rights defender of Haitian descent. She is a member of Acción Afro-Dominicana, an organization that seeks to make racism and its consequences visible.

She has also been noted for her fervent efforts promoting women's reproductive rights in the Dominican Republic largely dominated by the country's religious and conservative wing.
