María San Martín - Head of Capacity Development

María is Head of Capacity Development. The purpose of the Capacity Development team is to provide practical support to HRD/Os to strengthen their capacities to analyse, manage, and mitigate the risks they face and build their longer term protection. María also coordinates the Visibility for Protection programme, working collaboratively with human rights defenders and organisations towards using visibility and strategic communications as a security and protection strategy. Before joining Front Line Defenders in 2013, she worked in Amnesty International and in development projects in India.
