Leonidas Iza Salazar is an indigenous Kichwa Panzaleco human rights defender and current president of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE). He has more than 15 years of experience in the Indigenous Movement of Ecuador and as a human rights defender for indigenous peoples, the environment and peasant sectors.
