Lela Tsiskarishvili is Executive Director of The Georgian Centre For Psychosocial And Medical Rehabilitation Of Torture Victims (GCRT), member of Human Rights House Tbilisi. She works on treatment for survivors of torture, domestic, sexual, war abuse.
HRDs working in Georgia face a number of obstacles to their work. Of particular concern are incidents involving the violent dispersal of protests and provisions restricting freedom of assembly; the harassment and intimidation of human rights defenders and journalists; and restrictive provisions and practices as regards freedom of association
