Aloka Kujur is a women's rights defender from Jharkhand, India and has dedicated her life to advocating for the rights of indigenous and marginalized communities. Aloka Kujur's journey as an activist began with her involvement in grassroots movements that aimed to empower Adivasi peoples and protect their rights over natural resources.

Human rights defenders in India face a diverse range of attacks and harassment from state and non-state actors alike, including killing, physical assault, arbitrary detention, threats and judicial harassment.
