Alioune Badara Gueye

Alioune Badara Gueye is an environmental human rights defender from Senegal. He is a trained environmental geographer and a doctoral student at EDEQUE, Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar (UCAD). He is the Coordinator of the "GYBN Senegal" Chapter, Founder of the "SenOxy Citizen Initiative" and Secretary General of the Environment Commission of the Commune of Keur Massar Nord (Dakar).

As a result of his commitment and work on the ground to protect the environment, he have been nominated and awarded several times at national level or by international organisations.
